REGISTERING AN ACCOUNT
To experience NBetax, you will need to register as a user by 'clicking here'. This will take you to another page where you will be asked to choose a username and password along with some additional information such as contact number, email address etc. (We respect your privacy and this information will not be used anywhere else except to make your depreciation schedule application easier).
After submitting your registration, a confirmation email will be emailed to you almost immediately, if not please check your 'Spam' folder (for users of online email applications such as Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail etc. this can be common). After locating the confirmation email, please follow link on email to commence application.
Please note this registration needs only to be done once. Upon your return for another session, you will only need to login.
DEPRECIATION APPLICATION
Log in to your account and click on either 'purchasing a property?' or 'undertaking construction?' buttons. This will take you to an online form requesting information about your investment property such as address, size, purchase price, settlement & exchange dates etc. This information is used to formulate the quotation and calculate the estimate of likely depreciation. Upon completion of this form, you will be presented with the Quotation and likely Depreciation Estimate for the first 5 years. At this point you can save this quotation and proceed at a later stage, add another quotation for another property or proceed to complete application.
COMPLETING APPLICATION
If you wish to proceed with your application, you will need to click on the red button 'Complete App'. This will take you to another form requesting additional information for us to accurately complete your report. Information requested for example include land values, stamp duty paid, access for survey details etc. Please note fields with an * are information we must have to accurately put together your report. We suggest you have your contract of sale handy at this stage.
PAYMENT
This is the final step. As with most online application, payment will be required to complete application. Payment on NBetax is done through Westpac's secure SSL Gateway. Amount to be charged will be clearly stated including GST. We currently accept Visa and Mastercard. Upon successful processing of payment, a confirmation email will immediately be sent to your email confirming the payment.
WHERE TO NEXT
You report will be ready within 15 working days and if there are any delays, you will be notified beforehand.
